LESTER CRANDALL
Military funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Luken Funeral Home for Lester Crandall, 54, who died Friday morning at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Weidenfeller in LeMars, with whom he had made his home for the last 20 years. The American Legion had charge of military rites. Rev. Frank Patterson officiated. Burial was in City Cemetery.
Mr. Crandall was born September 29, 1899, at Rock Elm, Wis. He served in the Canadian expeditionary forces in World War I and also served in World War II.
The nearest survivor is a niece, Catherine Crandall, in Victoria, British Columbia.
Pallbearers were: A.J. Orban, H.F. Gralapp, Leo Hughes, Oscar Weidenfeller, Howard Faust, and D.N. Zerg.
