HELEN DRIGGS

LE MARS, Iowa—Helen Lorraine Driggs, 60, of LeMars died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Orange City Municipal Hospital in Orange City, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church in LeMars, with the Rev. Ed Frank officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the assistance of Doug Carlson in LeMars.

Mrs. Driggs was born May 23, 1941, in LeMars, the daughter of Lloyd and Ethel (Moir) Laughton. She was raised in the LeMars area and graduated from LeMars Community High School in 1959.

She married Charles J. Driggs on Nov. 27, 1959, in Seney, Iowa. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed her flower garden.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Kim and her husband, Steve Kots of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Kari Arens of Le Mars; two sons, Jeff and his wife, Mary of Merrill, Iowa, and Curt of LeMars; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Kots, Rob, Amanda and Corey Arens, Marty Miller, Emili, Katie and Keegan Driggs; a brother and his wife, George and Mary Laughton of LeMars; and four sisters, Mary Bangs of Sacramento, Calif., Joyce Willer of Brunsville, Iowa, Mildred and her husband, Perry Springer, of Urbandale, Iowa, and Lois and her husband, Ray Trusheim of Toledo, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Charles Willer.

Pallbearers will be Doug Driggs, Neil Lickiss, George Wagner, Mike Willer, Bob Campbell and Dave Laughton.
