WILLIAM T. DAILEY

JEFFERSON, S.D.—William T. Dailey, 95, or rural Jefferson died Sunday, June 23, 1996, at Prairie Estates Care Center in Elk Point, S.D.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the United Parish Church in Elk Point, with the Rev. Donald Greenough officiating. Burial will be in Elk Point Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today, with the family present from 7-8 p.m., at the Anderson Funeral Home in Elk Point.

Mr. Dailey was born May 1, 1901, in Ponca, Neb., the son of Andrew and Minnie (Polkinghorn) Dailey. He moved with his family to Akron, Iowa, and attended school there.

He married Christina Sorensen on June 4, 1934, in LeMars, Iowa. The couple farmed in rural Jefferson until he retired in 1964. He became a resident of the nursing home in January of 1995.

Mr. Dailey was a member of the United Parish Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, Roger and Vera of rural Jefferson; a daughter, Evon Kai of Jefferson; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Norman; a brother, Lloyd; and two sisters, Vera Farrin and Fern Holley.
