EUNICE DELANEY

MARCUS, Iowa—Eunice Delaney, 67, of Marcus died Monday, April 29, 1996, at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus with the Rev. James Fangman officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today, with a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m., at Earnest and Roethler Funeral Chapel in Marcus.

Mrs. Delaney was born Oct. 9, 1928, in Remsen, the daughter of James and Margaret (Case) Harman. She grew up south of Remsen and graduated from Union High School in 1948.

She married Edward Delaney May 30, 1953, in Marcus. The couple made their home in Marcus. She had worked at the Marcus Community Schools, the grocery store in Marcus and Happy Siesta Nursing Home in Remsen. She also did domestic work. She enjoyed camping and fishing.

Mr. Delaney died March 14, 1995.

Mrs. Delaney was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Guild.

Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Pat and Doug Bierman of Eldridge, Marlene and Fred Silberstein of Paullina, Marsha and Lee Riedemann of Paullina and Mary and Steve Olson of Marcus; a twin sister and her husband, Bernice and Jake Dixon of Marcus; two brothers, Jim Harman of Marcus and Mike and his wife, Marsha Harman, of Kingsley; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Holly, and Tom Bierman, Kelly and Brad Riedemann, Nicholas, Nathan, and Tanner Silberstein and Sarah and Lindsey Olson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Frances Hayden.
