ARLENE DAVIS
KINGSLEY, Iowa—Arlene Davis, 60, a lifelong Kingsley resident, died Wednesday, March 15, 1995, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Kingsley United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Crosswhite officiating. Burial will be in the Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday at the Earnest-Dickinson-Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley.
Mrs. Davis was born Dec. 27, 1934, in Kingsley, the daughter of Herbert and Laura (King) Ahrens. She graduated from Kingsley High School in 1953. She married Donald Davis Sept. 2, 1953, at the Kingsley United Methodist Church. She had worked for several businesses in Kingsley. For the last few years, she worked for MCI in Sergeant Bluff, retiring in November 1993 due to poor health.
Mrs. Davis was instrumental in organizing the Avenue of Flags for Memorial Day in the Kingsley Cemetery. She enjoyed crocheting and fishing. She was a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carolyn Rodman of Whiting; seven grandchildren, Chad and Chuck Eberly, Katie Rodman, and Greg, Tim Jennifer and Adam Davis; and one great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kenneth and Neil; a sister, Colleen Ahrens; a brother, George Ahrens, and a granddaughter, Kari Rodman.
