MINNIE CROON

Mrs. Minnie Croon, 81, a LeMars native and lifetime resident, died Monday (May 15, 1978) at Floyd Valley Hospital, LeMars, after an illness of six days.

Minnie Hartmann was born April 8, 1897, in Plymouth County, rural LeMars, to Ulfert and Meena Muller Hartmann. She married Martin J. Croon, Dec. 2, 1914, at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant township.

The couple farmed in Grant township until retiring to LeMars in 1961. Mr. Croon died Aug. 17, 1963.

Mrs. Croon was also preceded in death by four brothers, a sister and her parents.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and A.L.C.W.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant township, with Rev. Jack Hebard officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Mauer Funeral Home, LeMars.

A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
