FRANK CROW
Franklin Henry Crow, 69, formerly of Akron, passed away on March 12, 2004, at his home in rural Craig, CO.
Mr. Crow was cremated and a memorial mass was celebrated on March 15, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Craig.
Mr. Crow as born June 14, 1935, at Akron to William and Lillian (Jeffers) Crow. He spent his youth helping on the farm east of Akron. In later years, he worked as a plumber for his Uncle Charlie (Plueger Electric) at Brunsville. He married his first wife, Barbara LaFerrier at Elk Point. They had five children together.
In 1972, he married Delores Knez of Craig. They had one child and Frank helped raise Delores’ three children. The couple spent their married years living in Minnesota and then relocated to the Knez Divide Ranch just outside of Craig.
Mr. Crow worked as an electrician/plumber/refrigeration maintainer worker for Craig Memorial Hospital before retiring.
He loved to spend his days farming, hunting, fishing and collecting old pocket watches. He was particularly fond of his John Deere tractors and his red Dodge pickup.
Survivors include his wife, Delores; his children, Mark Crow and Rodney(Roxanne) Crow, both of Aurora, CO., Mike (Loria) Crow of Elk Point, Sharon (Chester) Pope of Arizona, and William Crow of Denver; his wife’s children, Jackie, Harry, and Frances Nielsen of Craig and Mike Gove of Washington; his brothers, Jerry Crow of Lakewood, CO, and Willis Crow of Gavin, MN; sisters, Mert (Ron) Marsh of South Sioux City, and DeLoris Meske of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lynn Kay Crow; and one sister, Betty Rzadecki.
