ROSE CROON

Rose Croon, 80, of LeMars, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1992, at Plymouth Manor Care Center in LeMars.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Merrill, with Rev. Frank Philipp officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Merrill. Friends may visit after 2 p.m. Friday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mrs. Croon was born March 6, 1912, in LeMars to August and Katherine (Ohlrichs) Herzberg. She married Amos C. Croon on Dec. 22, 1937, in Johnson Township, rural Merrill. He died April 3, 1985. Mrs. Croon was a homemaker.

She lived at Merrill until 1984 when she moved to Plymouth Manor. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a member of the church’s Ladies Aid.

Survivors include three sisters, Clara Wetrosky, Florence Oltmanns and Geraldine Johnson, all of LeMars; two sisters-in-law, Leona Herzberg of LeMars and Verna Croon of Craig, and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lillian and a brother, Elmer.
