HAROLD L. TOOKER
Harold L. Tooker, 73, LeMars, died Saturday (June 16, 1979) at Floyd Valley hospital where he failed to survive emergency surgery. He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services were Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic church, Ellendale. Rev. James Bruch officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Tooker was born Jan. 5, 1906, near Merrill to Daniel L. and Nettie Mae Rembe Tooker.
He farmed west of Merrill and retired in 1958. He lived there until 1973 when he moved to Alexandria, Minn., until 1978, returning to LeMars.
Leona Marx and Mr. Tooker were married Jan. 5, 1925, at Dakota City, Neb.
Survivors are his wife, Leona; a son, Harold Tooker, Merrill; three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Evelyn) Woll, Akron, Mrs. Darrell (Frances) Pranke, Sioux City, and Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) DeRocher, LeMars; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Maynard Tooker; four sisters, Mrs. Loretta Hoefling, Mrs. Louella Casby, Mrs. Viola Lovell and Mrs. Minnie Lee.
