ROBERT W. TIESLER

Robert W. Tiesler, of rural Hinton, died Monday, Nov. 28, 1988, at his residence.

Funeral was at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, in the Trimble Methodist Church at Sioux City with Rev. David C. Daily officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Morningside Nelson-Berger Funeral Home.

Visitation was from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m.

Mr. Tiesler was born May 5, 1917, at Rushmore, Minn., the son of Frederick and Ella (Pape) Tiesler. He moved to Hinton with his parents at age 12. He moved to Laurel, Neb., in 1944 and returned to Hinton in 1946. He attended schools at Rushmore and at Hinton.

He married Ethel M. Van Vickle in 1962 at Washta. She died Dec. 16, 1985, at Orange City.

He was a member of the Trimble United Methodist Church and the Eagles Lodge in South Sioux City.

He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Marlys Tiesler of Hinton, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Joann Peterman of Washta, and brothers-in-law, Mordean Van Vickle and Harold Van Vickle; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Krause.
