SUPERVISOR TIMMONS LAID TO REST TUESDAY

Frank Timmons, of Kingsley, supervisor in the Third district, died at 9 o’clock Saturday night in a Sioux City hospital, where he had been operated on Thursday for appendicitis. Mr. Timmons became seriously ill last week Monday and was taken to the hospital Wednesday and the operation the following morning showed the appendix had burst. He rallied for a day or two but peritonitis developed and Saturday morning his condition grew worse.

Mr. Timmons was born at Darlington, Wis., 62 years ago last March and came to this county almost 40 years ago and located near Kingsley where several of his brothers also made their home.

Mr. Timmons had been married in Wisconsin to a Miss Gabel and the lived on the same farm in Elkhorn for almost 30 years. They removed to Kingsley about the time he was elected supervisor in 1928, where they have since made their home.

The widow and six children born of this union survive: Mrs. Lloyd Graham of Kingsley, and Irene, John, James, Frances, and Wyndham, all living at home. Mr. Timmons is also survived by three brothers, Pat, John and James of Kingsley, and a sister in Wisconsin.

Mr. Timmons was elected supervisor three times and had served about half his third term which expires January 1, 1938. He was a genial, friendly man and his popularity is evidenced by his re-election to the office in which he served seven and one-half years.

The funeral was held in St. Michael’s Catholic church, Kingsley, at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning, July 14, Rev. Father Marx officiating. Burial was made in the Kingsley cemetery.
