Frank Flynn, a farmer residing a few miles northwest of Oyens, died last Thursday morning after two weeks of illness with a carbuncle between the cords at the back of his neck. He had been receiving treatment by physicians, who a few days previous were of the opinion that Mr. Flynn was on the road to recovery. On the day before his death, however, an infection started and the end came quickly without the slightest relief from the terrible agony.Frank Flynn was born in Jersey City, N.J. in 1870. He came to Maurice, Sioux County with his family six years ago (1908) from Aurora, Il. and subsequently lived near Merrill. Last year they moved to the Elgin township farm which is their present home. Mr. Flynn leaves a wife and seven children, the oldest, Marie being a teacher in Plymouth county schools, while the six younger ones are with their mother. The funeral was held Sunday morning at 10:00 o'clock from St. Catherine's Church, Oyens, and the remains laid to rest in the Oyen's cemetery.
