Raymond Flynn, 83, longtime LeMars resident died Thursday (15 Jan 1981)in a hospital in LeMars of brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St James Catholic Church. The Rev. George McFadden will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited by the parish at 8 p.m. today in the Luedke Funeral Home.
Mr. Flynn was born Nov. 25, 1897, in Aurora, Ill. He came to Plynouth County as a young man and worked for 18 years at a LeMars milling co.
He was married to Helen Bruscher April 26, 1933, at Oyens. He was employed by the Plymouth County Highway Maintenance Department until his retirement several years ago.He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Miss Delores of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. William (Joyce) Puetz of LeMars and Mrs. Donald (Dianne) Yoerger of Alton; one son Richard of San Jose, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
