Lucille D. Mills, 78, of Sioux City died Friday, April 9, 2004, at Morningside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

There will be no services. There will be a private family committal service Wednesday in Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m., at Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa.

Lucille was born Nov. 29, 1925 at Sergeant Bluff, the daughter of Carl and Minnie Wertz.

She married Richard T. Mills on Nov. 29, 1947 in Sioux City. After their marriage, she and Richard lived in California several years before moving back to Sioux City. Her husband, Richard died April 29, 1986.

Survivors include a son, Warren Mills and his wife, Julie of Sioux City; a grandson, Andrew Mills; a brother, Lowell Wertz of New Orleans, La.; and a sister, Margaret of Des Moines, Iowa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy and Evelyn; and a brother, Bud.
