SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Adrienne Ann "Nin" McDonald, 74, of South Sioux City passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at her residence.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alex Washington officiating. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery, followed by a lunch and gathering at Jac's Bar in Dakota City. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present at 6 p.m., at the funeral home.

Nin was born March 13, 1931, in Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of Ivan and Velma (Crum) Clark. She graduated from Kingsley High School in 1949. She attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb., for one year.

She married Richard D. McDonald on Aug. 13, 1950, in Kingsley. He died Oct. 17, 1992, in Sioux City. She was presently employed as a bartender at Jac's Bar in Dakota City.

Survivors include three sons, Dan, Mick and Max, all of South Sioux City; three grandchildren, Pete, Mick and Michael; her mother, Velma Clark of Kingsley; a brother and his wife, Max and Jeanette Clark of Kingsley; and a special friend, Marge Hedrick of South Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Clark.

Pallbearers will be Doug Merrigan, John Cain, Frank Schovanec, Frank Barkley, Arlen Edmisten, Ron Haase and Kim Sailors. Honorary pallbearers will be her friends and customers.
