DONALD P. MAC KAY
REMSEN, Iowa --- Donald P. MacKay, 75, of rural Remsen died Wednesday, June 14, 1995, at his home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Christ Lutheran Church in Remsen with the Rev. Robert Eggers officiating. Burial will be in Union Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until service time at the church. Earnest-Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. MacKay was born May 22, 1920, in rural Remsen, the son of Phillip and Arba (Stauffer) MacKay. He attended Union School and married Verona Klug in 1945 in Marysville, Kan. She died Oct. 25, 1993. Mr. MacKay grew up and farmed on the same farm for over 60 years.
Mr. MacKay was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Shirley and Robert Benson, of Batavia, Ill., and Sharon and James Burnett of Atkins, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Phyllis) Meister of Sioux City and Opal Johnson of LeMars, Iowa; three grandchildren, Tracy, Cindy and Jeremy Larson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sgt. Melvin “Tiny” MacKay and Lloyd Milton and a sister, Hope Milton.
