Mrs. Henry Hopp

Mrs. Henry Hopp, 93, of Kingsley, formerly of Pierson, died Saturday (Oct. 9, 1982), at a hospital in Sioux City of a long illness.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Salem Lutheran church. Rev. Martin Osterloh officiated. Burial was in Fairfield cemetery at Rock Branch, with McCulloch funeral home of Moville in charge.

Mrs. Hopp, the former Reaka Bartholoma, was born Feb. 12, 1899 at Davenport. At age 11 she came to Woodbury county and resided there or in Plymouth county since.

She was married May 4, 1909 at Salem Lutheran church. Mr. Hopp died in 1960. She resided in Pierson about 20 years, and the last seven years at Colonial Manor in Kingsley.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran church and its women’s circle.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Alvina) Zellmer of Kingsley; a sister, Mrs. William (Amelia) Pries of Moville; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
