Obituary.

MRS. PETER DEITERMAN

Mrs. Peter Deiterman, 74, rural route 2, LeMars, died Feb. 27, 1974, at Floyd Valley hospital after an extended illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Assumption Catholic Church at Merrill. Rev. Robert McClintock will officiate.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in LeMars. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday in the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Deiterman, the former Sophia Steichen, was born April 14, 1899, at Alton.

She was married to Peter Deiterman June 27, 1922, at Alton. He died in 1951.

Survivors are three sons, Gerald and Leo, both of Merrill, and Donald of LeMars; three brothers, Al Steichen of Maurice, Matt Steichen of Cedar Rapids and Leo Steichen of Emery, S.D.; a sister, Mrs. Al Biever of Alton; nine grandchildren; and several half brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Katherine Krantz Steichen, a sister and two brothers.
