TAMMY L. ELGERT

Tammy Lynn Elgert, 31, of Merrill, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City, with the Rev. Gerald Hartz officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Merrill. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Elgert was born May 13, 1969, in Sioux City, the daughter of Larry and Janet (Wickey) Longwell. She was raised in Sioux City and attended Sioux City schools.

She married Dale Elgert on Sept. 21, 1996, in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Merrill.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Janet Broer, of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Erik Nuzum; a daughter, Kiley Nuzum; a brother, Nathan Longwell, of Phoenix; five step-brothers, Danny, Rickey, Larry, Mark and Kelly; a sister, Bobbie Jo Longwell of Phoenix; three stepsisters, Debbie, Penny, and Tami; father-in-law, Dutch Elgert; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, an aunt, an uncle and mother-in-law, Vanetta Elgert.

Pallbearers will be Craig Wickey, Jimmy, Jack and J.T. Ring, Jose and Mark Elgert, Jr.
