DAVID BRUSCHER

ARTHUR, Iowa --- David Bruscher, 63, of Arthur, formerly of Sac City, Iowa, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Loring Hospital in Sac City.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Sac City. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery, Galva, Iowa. Visitation will be after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.

Mr. Bruscher was born Jan. 6, 1939, in LeMars, Iowa the son of Emil and Gladys (Hodge) Bruscher. He attended school in LeMars. He moved to Sac City in 1960. He married Melva Martin on June 1, 1957, in Sioux City. He later married Barbara (Johnson) Flogstad on Oct. 12, 1994, in Las Vegas. He retired as a captain from the Sac City Police Department in 1998 after 37 years in law enforcement.

Survivors include his wife; three sons and their wives, David Jr. and Nancy of Aurora, Colo., Dan and Sue of Auburn, Iowa, and Dean and Mary of Des Moines; a daughter, Deb Wood and her husband, Bill Kennebeck of Cherokee, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; three step daughters, Diane Jones of Schuyler, Neb., Sue Flogstad of Arthur, and Michelle and her husband, Terrance Bush of Waterloo, Iowa; two step sons, Rod and his wife Audrey Flogstad of Holstein, Iowa, and Larry Flogstad and Nancy of Ida Grove, Iowa; and two brothers.
