MARGARET E. BRUNKEN
Margaret E. Brunken, 85, LeMars, a Plymouth County native and lifelong resident, died Tuesday (April 10, 1990) at Sioux City St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural LeMars, with Rev. Jack Hebard officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.
The former Margaret Lubben was born Aug. 11, 1904, in Grant Township to Albert and Margaret Kleihauer Lubben. She married Bruno D. Brunken June 17, 1926, at Christ Lutheran Church. Mr. Brunken died Dec. 29, 1982.
Mrs. Brunken had been a Struble resident from 1941 to 1983, when she moved to LeMars. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Women of the E.L.C.A.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Jurgenson of LeMars, and a son, Herbert Brunken of Collinsville, Ill.; ten grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nora Westhoff of LeMars.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and four sisters and two great grandchildren.
