MRS. FRED BRUNKEN

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Brunken, 85, of San Jose, Calif., a Plymouth County native, were held Monday at the American Lutheran Church in San Jose. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She died Oct. 18, 1983, at a San Jose hospital.

Mrs. Brunken, the former Caroline Pageler, was born in Plymouth County, Sept. 11, 1898. She spent most of her life in this area, moving to San Jose in 1966.

She married Fred Brunken, Feb. 23, 1919, in Plymouth County. He died June 8, 1974.

She is survived by one daughter, Laverne Beeck of San Jose; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
