EVELYN M. BOCK
LE MARS, Iowa – Evelyn Myrtle Bock, 82, of LeMars, died Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Merrill with the Rev. Keith Sievers officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
Mrs. Bock was born April 17, 1914, on her parent’s farm northwest of Merrill. She attended Johnson Township 5 country school and graduated for Merrill High School in 1933.
She married Fred “Pete” Bock Aug. 21, 1935, in Adaville. He died in October 1986. She was a homemaker and worked part-time catering with Cora Crowley for many years.
Mrs. Bock was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include three brothers, Dwight Heiden of Sioux City, Mainard and his wife, Betty Heiden of Durango, Colo., and Harold and his wife, Dolores Heiden of Sergeant Bluff; two sisters, Gladys and her husband, Don Stuart of Battle Lake, Minn., and Verda Delperdang of Merrill; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Cynthia Heiden and Iola Schleis.
Pallbearers will be Ronald, Merlin and Gordon Bock, Everett Bollmeyer, Greg Heiden, and David Albers.
