GEORGE P. BINDNER
George P. Bindner, 87, of Sioux City, formerly of LeMars, Iowa, died Sept. 11, 1998.
The cremains were buried Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, with the Rev. Gerald Hartz officiating. His body had been donated to the University of Iowa.
Mr. Binder was born March 22, 1913, in LeMars, the son of John F. and Cecelia (Kosse) Bindner. He married Margery Smith Feb. 5, 1938, at Holy Name Chapel in Marcus, Iowa. He had lived in Plymouth County most of his life. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.
Survivors include four sons, Richard of Sioux City, David of Des Moines, Paul of LeMars, and Thomas and his wife, Linda of Marcus; two daughters, Joan Kober of Sioux City, and Georgia and her husband, Robert Mayberry of Winnebago, Neb.; a sister and her husband, Gloria and Maurice Welte of Sergeant Bluff; four brothers and their wives, John and Elvira of Remsen, Iowa, Leonard and Mildred of Marcus, Chares and Darlene of Placentia, Calif., and Vernon and Edna of New Braunfels, Texas; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald; two sisters, Leona Henson and Bertha Nothem.
