George Dry
George Erwin [Irwin] Dry, 59, rural Merrill died Thursday at Broadlawn nursing home, Kingsley, after an illness of a year. He had been at Kingsley for 22 days.
Mr. Dry was a grain and livestock farmer.
He was born June 24, 1912, at Palestine, Ill., and came to Plymouth County in 1935 where he settled in Johnson township where he still resided. He was never married and was the son of Charles L. and Isabelle Taylor Dry.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Mauer funeral chapel. Rev. J. L. Vallery will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Valley cemetery at Adaville, rural Merrill.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Edna Sweet, rural Merrill; and two brothers, Kenneth Dry, rural Merrill and Leonard Dry, Arlington, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
