Paul C. Stoel, 79, of Akron, died Wednesday (Aug. 13, 1986) in a hospital in Rochester, Minn., after a brief illness.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. Rev. Peter Peterson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with Masonic services conducted by Freedom Lodge 434 of Akron. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Schroeder Funeral Home.
Mr. Stoel was born Oct. 22, 1906, in Akron. He married Mildred Gabel Dec. 24, 1930, at Adaville. He lived most of his life in this area and retired to Akron in 1974.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Kervyn (Joanne) Heeren of Akron and Mrs. Evonne DeVinny of Rochester, Minn.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Paul C. Stoel, 79, of Akron, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 13, 1986 in a hospital in Rochester, Minn., after a brief illness.
Mr. Stoel was born October 22, 1906, in Akron, Iowa to Oscar and Mattie Crawford Stoel. He married Mildred Gabel December 24, 1930, at Adaville, Iowa. He lived most of his life in this area and retired to Akron in 1974.
He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and Freedom Lodge 434.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Kervyn (Joanne) Heeren of Akron and Mrs. Evonne DeVinny of Rochester, Minn.; two grand¬daughters and five grandsons and five great-grand¬children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and three brothers.
