MRS. WM. WESTERGARD

Mrs. Olive Evelyn Westergard, 62, longtime LeMars resident, died Sunday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Sioux City, after being hospitalized there for 14 weeks. She had been in failing health for several years.

Olive Mitchell was born Oct. 31, 1904, at Ireton. She had lived most of her life in the Ireton and LeMars communities.

Her marriage to William J. Westergard took place April 21, 1944, in Pender, Neb. She was the daughter of the late LeRoy L. and Gertrude (Eberly) Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Methodist church in LeMars. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens near LeMars, with Mauer funeral home in charge.

Survivors are her husband and a son, Gene Berke, both of LeMars; three grandchildren, and three brothers, Orville, Blytheville, Ark.; Gilbert, Hot Springs, Ark., and Wayne, Portland, Ore.

She was a member of the First Methodist church in LeMars.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister.
