Rose Wiebersch

Mrs. Rose (Bergin) Wiebersch, 86, LeMars, a Plymouth County native and lifelong resident, died on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1993, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, Sioux City.

Services will be held on Friday, Feb. 5, at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church in LeMars with Rev. Msgr. Michael D. Sernett officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 2 p.m. Thursday at Feuerstein Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 4 p.m. by the Altar Society and a scriptural wake service will be held at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Wiebersch was born ion April 5, 1906, south of LeMars in Lincoln Township to Timothy and Katherine (Walsh) Bergin. She attended rural school and graduated from LeMars Central High School. After receiving her teaching certificate, she taught school for many years in Lincoln and Grant Township schools. She was married to Fred Wiebersch on Aug. 18, 1940, in South Sioux City and the couple made their home in LeMars. Mr. Wiebersch died on Sept. 21, 1980.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was a member of TOPS.

Survivors include two daughters and two sons, Fred Wiebersch and his wife Rita of Dubuque, Donna Arens and her husband Marty of LeMars, Katherine Ann Wiebersch, LeMars, and Keith Wiebersch and his wife Donna of Dubuque; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Edward and Ralph Bergin and a daughter-in-law, Pat (Allison) Wiebersch.
