MRS. FERN STEPHENSON

Mrs. Fern E. Stephenson, 66, route 3, Akron, died early Sunday morning at the Akron Community hospital after a brief illness. She had been hospitalized one day.

A lifelong Plymouth county resident, Mrs. Stephenson, was born March 12, 1895. She was a resident of Preston Township in recent years.

The former Fern E. Bullington and Ralph E. Stephenson were married Jan. 15, 1921, in LeMars. He survives as do a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Plueger, and two grandchildren, Terry and Sharon Plueger, of rural LeMars.

Also surviving are a sister, and three brothers, Mrs. Hazel Walker of Lusk, Wyo., Mae Bullington of Portland, Ore., Roy and Robert Bullington, both of LeMars.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard T. and Esther McLain Bullington of Union Township and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mauer’s funeral home, Rev. Charles Kruse of the Plymouth Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
