FORT DODGE, Iowa --- Special: Funeral services for the Rev. Henry D. Stahmer, 64, former pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church at Hinton, Iowa, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church here. The Rev. Paul Heckman will officiate.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery at LeMars, Iowa.

The Rev. Mr. Stahmer died Tuesday at his home here. He had served the church here since 1961.

During his pastorate at Hinton, from 1938 until 1953, the Rev. Mr. Stahmer also organized Grace Lutheran Church at LeMars and served as chaplain at the former Lutheran Hospital and for a former tuberculosis sanitarium in Sioux City.

He attended Concordia College in Milwaukee and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, and was ordained into the ministry July 31, 1927, at Davenport, Iowa. He also served churches at Cylinder, Emmetsburg and Churdan, Iowa.

The Rev. Mr. Stahmer was born June 13, 1902, at Davenport. He married Celeste Jensen June 28, 1928, at Davenport.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Paul of Des Moines; Philip of Bronx, N.Y.; and Nathan, a student at Concordia College at Seward, Neb.; two daughters, Mrs. Don Peters, Merrill, Iowa, and Mrs. J. Easton of LeMars; and __ grandchildren.
