KENNETH SORGDRAGER

Kenneth Sorgdrager, 72, Sioux City, longtime Merrill and LeMars area farmer, died Sunday (Feb. 28, 1988) at Sioux City Marian Health Center.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. Rev. L. Streyfeller will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m.

He was born May 29, 1915, at Sibley to James and Etta VanSteenwyk Sorgdrager. He farmed near Merrill and LeMars until his retirement. He moved to Sioux City in 1975.

His marriage to Margaret Stinton took place June 17, 1936, at Pender, Neb.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret, Sioux City; a daughter, Carol Means, Sioux City; two sons, Darold of Sioux City and Jarold of LeMars; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his mother, Etta Sorgdrager of LeMars; three brothers, Warren of Ireton; James of Sioux City; and Earl of Merrill; and a sister, Mrs. Joe (Charlotte) De Young of Craig.

He was preceded in death by his father.
