MRS. GEORGE SIEBENS
Mrs. George Siebens, 78, died Sunday (June 6, 1982) at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars after a long illness.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars. Rev. David Kramer will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in LeMars under the direction of Mauer funeral home.
Katherine Wilken was born April 22, 1904, on a farm near Akron to Gerd and Meta (Martfeld) Wilken and was a lifelong Plymouth county resident. She married George Siebens on Dec. 18, 1924, in rural Akron. The couple farmed near Akron until they retired in 1954 and moved to LeMars.
Mrs. Siebens was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in LeMars.
Survivors are a son Marvin of rural Akron; a daughter Mrs. Jack (Darlene) Liles, LeMars; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, John and Arthur, both of Akron; and four sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Johanna) Grasz, LeMars; Mrs. Raymond (Minnie) Gabel, Hawarden; Mrs. Wendell (Frieda) McAninch, LeMars; and Mrs. Gert (Dena) Jacobs, LeMars.
Mrs. Siebens was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters.
