FRANK SCHROEDER

Frank Schroeder, 82, route 2 (Seventh Ave. SE) LeMars, died Monday morning at Floyd Valley Hospital after an illness of several months. He had been hospitalized since last Friday.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Mauer funeral chapel with Rev. Paul Tobiason officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Mauer funeral home.

Mr. Schroeder was born Jan. 27, 1888, in Germany, a son of the late John and Maria Schroeder. He came to the United States and Remsen when he was 14 years old. He married Anna Wengler Sept. 11, 1912, in LeMars. The couple farmed in Plymouth county until retiring to LeMars. Mr. Schroeder also was a retired livestock trucker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, a daughter, brother and a sister.

Survivors are his wife, Anna, of LeMars; three daughters, Mrs. Dick (Mabel) Friedrichs of Whiting, Mary Janes and Mrs. Andrew (Betty) Rolfes, both of LeMars; a son, John W. of Sioux City; three brothers, John of Fergus Falls, Minn., Harold of Bethel, Minn., and William of Morris, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Rohloff of Waconia, Minn., and Mrs. Margaret Gatz of Minneapolis, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
