Tony Schmitt, 4-month old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Schmitt, Melrose Park, Ill., suffered fatal injuries in a 2-car crash Sunday about 10 p.m. ten miles out of Dubuque in Illinois.

The infant was the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grosenheider, Preston Township, and the family was returning home after a visit here when the accident happened. Mrs. Schmitt is the former Ardis Grosenheider, rural LeMars.

Details of the accident were not available. Kenny Grosenheider said his sister, her husband and sons, Danny age 2, and Tony, 4 months, had visited here several days and left Sunday for home.

Mrs. Schmitt was hospitalized following the crash and has been released. Neither Danny nor Mr. Schmitt were injured.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grosenheider left immediately for Melrose Park to be with the family and to attend funeral services.
