RENOLD SCHAT

Renold Schat, 91, a former longtime Maurice bank manager, died Sunday (Aug. 31, 1980) at Northwood Retirement home, Northwood, Iowa.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars with Rev. Thomas Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens cemetery, rural LeMars, under the direction of the Mittelstadt funeral home in Lake Mills.

Mr. Schat was born Oct. 23, 1888, in Hull to Simon and Florence Van De Nei Schat. He served in World War I.

He married Clara Graese June 26, 1924, at Canova, S.D.

His body will lie in state at St. John's prior to the service on Wednesday.

Survivors are his daughter, Phyllis Schat, Lake Mills; two sons, Ralph Schat of Rapid City and Cal Scott, Moville; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild, and two sisters, Florence Langstraat, Sheldon, and Nellie Perkinson, Sioux Falls.
