FRANK GABEL, LIFE LONG
RESIDENT OF PLYMOUTH
COUNTY, DIED SUNDAY

Frank Gabel, 73, a life long resident of Johnston township, died Sunday after a brief illness, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Eva Brown.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 31, at 2:30 p.m. at the Adaville Evangelical United Brethren church near Merrill. The Rev. V. E. Shickell will officiate. Interment will be in the Adaville church cemetery.

Mr. Gabel was born November 3, 1877, in Sac County, Iowa. He came to Plymouth County with his parents at the age of 9. They lived in Preston Township until 1911 when he moved to Johnston Township. He married Mary Taylor, March 14, 1905, at LeMars.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Eva Brown of Merrill, Mrs. Ethel Rowe of LeMars, Mrs. Cleo Tindall of Akron, Mrs. Opal Coates of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Frances Bell of Cherokee; a son, Ralph Gabel of LeMars; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Treptow of LeMars, Mrs. Mary Bohlken of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Lizzie Olson of Cologne, S.D.; two brothers, George of Merrill and Lee of Bath, S.D.; and 14 grandchildren.

The Mauer funeral home has charge of arrangements.
