OBITUARY
ROSS RONALD PORTRoss Ronald Port, 59, 626 Third St. SW, died Friday, April 28, 1972, at Floyd Valley Hospital after a 12-day illness. He was hospitalized April 16.
Mr. Port was a lifelong resident of LeMars and the vicinity and was a plant guard at Iowa Beef Processors in LeMars.
Funeral services were Monday, May 1, at 2 p.m. at St. John's American Lutheran Church with Rev. Arnold Imbrock officiating.
Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Mauer funeral home.
Mr. Port was born Feb. 20, 1913, in Plymouth county, a son of the late Frank and Mary Belle (McInnis) Port. He married Minnie Steen Jan. 23, 1959, at St. John's church, LeMars.
He was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
Survivors are his wife, Minnie, of LeMars; two step-daughters, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Schell of Milan, Ill., and Mrs. Robert (Charleen) Hilterbrand of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Jans of San Francisco and Mrs. Joseph Kain of Myrtle Creek, Ore., and four grandchildren.
