MARY J. RUBLE
LE MARS, Iowa --- Mary J. Ruble, 95, of LeMars, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in LeMars.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, ELCA, in LeMars, with the Rev. Bert Burwell officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
Mary was born June 9, 1906, in rural LeMars, the daughter of Henry A. and Engel (Kleihauer) Ludwigs.
She married Tom Ruble on Jan. 3, 1929. After their marriage, Mary and Tom lived and worked on a farm west of LeMars. They moved to Illinois after they had lived in the LeMars area a few years. In 1968, Mary’s husband Tom died. Mary moved back to LeMars after her husband’s death.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, ELCA, LeMars.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Betty and Lowell Kluver of Lake Park, Iowa; four grandchildren, Rhonda Merritt and her husband, Bruce of Aurora, Colo., Linda Downs and her husband, Roland, of Norfolk, Neb., Tom Kluver and his wife, Laurie, of Merrill, Iowa, and Kevin Kluver of Omaha; eight great-grandchildren; a great great grandchild; a sister, Ella Molzen of LeMars; and a brother, Jack Ludwigs of LeMars.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Bonnie in infancy and Delores; three brothers, Bill, Elmer and George; and two sisters, Elizabeth Haage and Lena Mammen.
