Shirley J. Riffey, 56, LeMars native and longtime resident, died Wednesday (July 25, 1990) at Floyd Valley Hospital after an extended illness.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars, with Rev. David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home with the family present from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

The former Shirley J. Baack was born Nov. 6, 1933, in rural Craig to George and Ruth Heeren Baack. She was a lifelong Plymouth County resident. She was a nurses aide at Plymouth Manor for many years, and a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church.

Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Rose Dose and two son, Gary Pageler and Gene Pageler, all of LeMars; two grandchildren, Justin Pageler and Ashley Pageler, both of Hinton; a brother, John Baack of Boston and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Kenny Baack.
