LeROY PITTS
LeRoy Pitts, 219 Seventh Ave, SW, 53, died unexpectedly at his home Sunday morning.
The LeMars resuscitator squad and the Luken-Johnson ambulance were called.
He was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Iona, Minn., and lived in LeMars since 1945. He was the son of the late Thomas and Maude (Donovan) Pitts. He was never married.
Mr. Pitts was a veteran of World War II and a member of V.F.W. post 8139 in LeMars.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. John Turza officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors are two brothers, Melvin Pitts, LeMars and John Pitts, Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Ebrecht, LeMars; Mrs. Louise Miller, Sioux City; and Mrs. Fred (Bernice) Paul, Frederichsburg, Tex.
