CARL PITTS

LE MARS --- Carl Pitts, 41, LeMars, died Thursday while visiting at Council Bluffs.

Mr. Pitts was born March 16, 1934, at Meriden. He attended Maryhill Visitation Catholic school, rural Cherokee, and graduated from the Grand Meadow School, rural Washta. Mr. Pitts married Audrey Dawson July 17, 1954, at Maryhill Visitation Catholic Church. Since 1961 when he moved here, Mr. Pitts operated Carl’s Welding Shop.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger, at home; his parents Mr. and Mrs. William Pitts, Cherokee; and sisters, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Kenney, Corpus Christi, Texas; Mrs. Emmett (Margaret) Holton, Cherokee; and Mrs. Ronald (Darlene) Schmillen, Marcus.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home, LeMars.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church, LeMars, with the Rev. George McFadden and the Rev. Dale George officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

The Luken-Johnson Funeral Home, LeMars, is in charge of arrangements.
