LOUIS PINGEL

Louis W. Pingel, 86, LeMars, a Marcus native, died March 17, 1982, at his home in LeMars of an apparent heart attack. He was a retired farmer.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, LeMars, with Rev. H. H. Schauland officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under the direction of the Mauer funeral home in LeMars.

He was born Oct. 17, 1895, in Marcus to Carl and Amelia Knauft Pingel. He lived in the Marcus area for 30 years, then in Sioux City for 12 years. He retired to LeMars in 1961 and had lived here since. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Alice Furst and Mr. Pingel were married July 30, 1919, in Omaha. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Viola) Kroeger, Remsen; two grandsons, Dale and Dennis Kroeger, both of Remsen, and two great grandsons, Kurtis and Kory Kroeger.
