HENRY MAY

Henry Otto May, 87, LeMars, died Saturday (Feb. 26, 1977) at Plymouth Manor in LeMars after a long illness. Mr. May had lived most of his life in Plymouth county.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mauer funeral chapel in LeMars. Rev. William Striepe will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars.

Mr. May was born May 26, 1889, in Illinois. He farmed in Union Township in Plymouth county until retiring in 1941. Mr. May lived for a time in Phoenix, Ariz, and then moved to Park Rapids, Minn., returning to LeMars in 1970. His parents were the late Herman and Magdalene Mick May.

He married Emma Gist Dec. 14, 1916, at LeMars. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife and a brother, Louis, LeMars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Fred, Gustav, Frank and George.
