MRS. HENRY MAY

Mrs. Henry May, 88, of LeMars, died Thursday (May 27, 1982) at Brentwood Care Center, LeMars.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Mauer funeral home. Rev. William Striepe will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Mrs. May, the former Emma F. Gist, was born March 28, 1894, at Hawesville, Ky., to Charles and Nancy Swihart Gist.

She married Henry Dec. 14, 1916, at LeMars. She lived in Union Township from 1915 to 1941. She lived at Phoenix, Ariz., Park Rapids, Minn., and Spencer before returning to LeMars in 1970. Mr. May died in February of 1977.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Meta Kehrberg of Appleton, Minn., and two brothers, Sam Gist of Pipestone, Minn., and Roscoe Gist of Phoenix, and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and a brother.
