Robert MaComb, 86, LeMars, died on Wednesday, May 5, 1993, at Floyd Valley Hospital, LeMars.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Presbyterian United Church of Christ in LeMars with burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Services will be conducted by Rev. Robert Grupp. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 7-8 p.m., at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home, LeMars.

Mr. MaComb was born Feb. 1, 1907, in Paullina to John and Sarah (Countermine) MaComb. He was married to Irene Riedemann on June 26, 1938, in Yankton, S.D. He was a farmer in the Brookings, S.D., and Pipestone, Minn., areas before moving to LeMars in 1961. He operated a Texaco service station and worked for Wilson Trailer in Sioux City until his retirement. After he retired he worked at Plymouth Manor Care Center for 15 years.

He was a member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, LeMars; two sons, Ned and his wife Wanda MaComb, LeMars, and Wendell MaComb, Schleswig; a daughter, Jo Ann and her husband Chuck Petry, LeMars; three grandsons, John Scott and Cory MaComb; three granddaughters, Tammy Singer, Laura Betsworth and Sarah Petry; two great granddaughters, Jessica Singer and Megan Betsworth; two sisters, Florene Jenks of Elkhart, Ind., and Helen Halstead of Brookings, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William, and three sisters, Gladys, Marie and Isabelle.
