ROSE L. LUDWIGS

LE MARS, Iowa --- Rose L. Ludwigs, 80, of rural LeMars, died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural LeMars, with the Rev. Peter Boe officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mrs. Ludwigs was born on Sept. 13, 1918, on the family farm in Grant Township, rural Plymouth County, Iowa, the daughter of Claus and Mary (Plueger) Siebens. She attended Christ Lutheran Parochial School.

She married Jack Ludwigs on March 17, 1937, at Christ Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in Grant Township and continued to live on the farm during their retirement years.

She owned and operated businesses in Richland, S.D., and in Struble, Iowa, while continuing to help her husband on the farm.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed traveling, fishing and visiting with friends.

Survivors include her husband; a sister and brother-in-law, Minnie and Herman Kruse of LeMars; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Hennings and Frances Ludwigs.
