MRS. EARL MADSEN
Mrs. Earl (Alice) Madsen, 67, Hawarden, died Tuesday (1983) after a long illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Dow Funeral Home, Hawarden. Rev. Marion Bloodworth will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery, LeMars.
Mrs. Madsen, the former Alice Mae Durr, was born July 17, 1915, at LeMars to Paul and Rachel Pitts Durr.
She married Earl Madsen May 28, 1935, at Pochahontas. They lived in the LeMars area until 1977 when they moved to Hawarden.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Carl Durr and a sister, Jean Corley.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, James of Newton, Paul of Sioux City, and Dan of LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Sally) Schrunk of Jefferson; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Schoenrock of Hawarden and Mrs. Irene Nanninga of Struble and 14 grandchildren.
