Karl W. Klein, 39, owner of Karl Klein Trucking, LeMars, died unexpectedly Saturday (Feb. 3, 1979) while being treated as an out-patient at St. Joseph Hospital, Sioux City.
Reports in Sioux City indicate Mr. Klein suffered an apparent heart attack at the Office Massage in the Martin Apartments, Sioux City.
He was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was resuscitated by the basic life support equipment. His death occurred at the hospital.
He was born Jan. 7, 1940, in Sioux Center to Gerrit and Jennie Lockhorst Klein. He came to LeMars in 1965.
His marriage to Alice Bruhn took place October 1, 1960, at Cylinder, Iowa.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. H. H. Schauland officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under the direction of the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
Survivors are his wife, Alice, LeMars; a daughter Karla and a son Kyle, both at home; a brother, Herman (Lolly) Klein, Sioux Center, and a sister, Mrs. George (Kay) Day, St. Paul.
