Mrs. Clayton Koth, 68, of LeMars, died Saturday (Aug. 28, 1982) in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Calvary United Methodist Church in LeMars. Rev. Edward Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of the Mauer funeral home of LeMars.

Mrs. Koth, the former Eva Newbury, was born July 11, 1914, in Kidder county, N.D., to John and Edna Sites Newbury.

She married Clayton Koth July 6, 1935, at Jamestown, N.D. They lived in Jamestown and Slayton, Minn., before coming to LeMars in 1946. He died in 1977.

She was a member of Calvary Cemetery United Methodist Church, Sunshine Club, Mothers Club and Christian Women’s Club.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. David (Gwen) Mead of Austin, Minn.; two sons, C. Eugene of Chariton and Robert of Wilmington, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Maythel Rhue of LeMars and Mrs. Alice Elston of Sanborn, N.D. and 10 grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Markley.
