DARRELL E. KOLKER
Darrell Eugene Kolker, 42, of Sioux City, died unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 12, 1996, at a local hospital after being stricken at his home.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church ELCA in LeMars with the Rev. Gary P. Landsness officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in LeMars.
Mr. Kolker was born Nov. 23, 1953, in LeMars, Iowa, the son of Gladys (Huls) and Dale Kolker. He grew up in LeMars and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he had been baptized and confirmed. He married Marilyn Miller on April 6, 1984, in Sioux City. The couple resided the past 12 years in Sioux City where he had been employed with the Siouxland Galvanizing for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and his favorite pastimes were fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kimberly of Tampa, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Christy of Sioux City; two grandsons, Travis and Aaron; his parents of LeMars; five brothers and their wives, Roger and Andrea of Lincoln, Neb., Gary and Sue of LeMars, Myron of LeMars, Arlan and Susan of Lawton, and Paul and Raquel of LeMars; two sisters and their husbands, Linda and Paul Pennisi of Sioux City and Janice and Greg Gienger of Omaha, Neb.; five nephews and seven nieces.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce in infancy and Stanley; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
